Fiberglass Lamination & Top Coat Application
Seamless resin-and-mat waterproofing built for Florida weather
What fiberglass lamination & top coat application actually involves
Fiberglass lamination is the backbone of every waterproof surface we build. We bond chopped-strand mat and woven roving into catalyzed polyester resin, roll out every air pocket, then seal the build-up with a pigmented top coat that carries the UV and abrasion load. The result is one continuous membrane with no seams, no fasteners, and nowhere for water to enter. On Florida's Gulf Coast — where afternoon storms, salt air, and 90-degree swings attack a surface year-round — a properly laminated deck outperforms paint, tile, or roll-on coatings by a wide margin.
This is a good fit for homeowners, condo boards, and property managers who want the leak stopped properly rather than postponed. We handle the assessment, the substrate work, the lamination, and the cleanup, and we walk the finished surface with you before we call the job done.
Every project covers the essentials
- Chopped-strand mat and woven roving laminated in catalyzed polyester resin
- Full air-void roll-out for maximum adhesion and laminate strength
- Pigmented UV-stable top coat in your choice of color and sheen
- Optional non-skid aggregate broadcast for wet-area traction
- Seamless coverage over the full field, up walls, and into drains
- Written scope and free on-site estimate before any work begins
Four steps from first call to final walkthrough
Substrate Inspection
We test the deck for moisture, soft spots, and movement, then confirm the substrate can carry a fiberglass laminate before we quote.
Prep & Grinding
Old coatings are ground off, fasteners are set below the surface, and every edge and joint is cleaned back to sound material.
Lamination
Mat and resin are laid in measured passes, rolled void-free, and carried up all vertical terminations to form one continuous membrane.
Top Coat & Cure
We apply the pigmented top coat, broadcast non-skid where you need it, and let the system cure fully before we hand the surface back.
The difference a careful job makes
Small choices in prep, materials, and finish work add up to a result that looks better and lasts longer.
No Seams to Fail
A laminate cured in place is one continuous membrane. Nothing is joined, so there is no joint for water to find.
Structural, Not Cosmetic
Fiberglass has real tensile strength. It bridges minor substrate movement instead of telegraphing every crack.
UV & Salt Resistant
Top coats specified for Gulf Coast exposure hold their colour and gloss where ordinary coatings chalk out.
Re-Coat, Don't Rebuild
When the finish eventually dulls, the wear layer is renewed. The system underneath stays exactly where it is.
Detail-driven from start to finish
Premium results come from disciplined habits — not shortcuts. Here's the standard we hold ourselves to on every project.
Substrate Verified First
We sound the deck and check moisture before quoting. A laminate over a failing substrate is money wasted.
Ground Back to Sound
Old coatings come off, fasteners are set below the surface, and slope is corrected before any resin is mixed.
Rolled Void-Free
Every pass is rolled out so no air is trapped in the laminate. Voids are where delamination starts.
Terminations Sealed
Walls, posts, thresholds, drains and scuppers are carried into the membrane, not flashed over afterwards.
Written Scope Up Front
You get the scope, the schedule, and a realistic cure window before we start — not after.
