Fiberglass Is All We Do
Atinez is a fiberglass specialist based in Hudson, Florida — lamination, gel coat, and repairs for balconies, decks, and shower pans across the Gulf Coast and Central Florida.
A specialist shop, not a general contractor
Atinez works in one material. We laminate fiberglass, apply gel coat, and repair the surfaces other trades install and walk away from. That narrow focus is deliberate — a laminate is unforgiving, and the difference between one that lasts decades and one that blisters in three seasons comes down to preparation, resin ratios, and rolling technique.
We are based on Frierson Lake Drive in Hudson, Florida, and we work across 17 cities from Crystal River in the north to Sarasota in the south and Orlando to the east. Most of what we do falls into 5 services: lamination and top coat, new balcony and deck installation, shower pan lamination, structural repair of existing decks, and gel coat application.
A large share of our work is fixing surfaces that were built to a price. Roll-on balcony coatings and mortar-bed shower pans have a service life, and on the Gulf Coast that life is shorter than most people expect. When one fails over conditioned space, the cost stops being about the deck and starts being about the framing, the insulation, and the ceiling below.
So we assess honestly, quote in writing, and tell you when a repair will hold and when it will not. That is a less comfortable conversation than promising everything is fixable — and it is the reason our customers call us back and send us their neighbours.
What we hold ourselves to
Six standards that apply on every job, whether it is a single shower pan or a full condo balcony stack.
One Trade, Done Well
Fiberglass lamination, gel coat, and repair are our whole business — not a sideline offered between other jobs.
Prep Before Product
Grinding, slope correction, and fastener setting happen before any resin is mixed. That is where a laminate is won or lost.
Specified for Florida
UV-stable top coats chosen for Gulf Coast salt, sun, and storm exposure — not whatever the supplier had on the shelf.
Honest Assessments
If a repair will hold, we repair it. If it genuinely will not, we say so at the estimate rather than halfway through.
Written Scope Up Front
You get the scope, the schedule, and a realistic cure window before we start — so nothing on the invoice is a surprise.
Schedules We Keep
Cure times are built into the plan. We would rather wait a day for weather than laminate into a storm and redo it.
Specialists you can actually reach
Generic promises are easy to make. These are the things you can check before you hire anyone.
Four steps, start to finish
A predictable process so you always know what happens next and when your surface goes back into service.
Assessment
We come out, sound the deck, check moisture, and find where water is actually getting in.
Written Scope
A clear estimate covering substrate work, lamination, finish, and a realistic schedule.
Prep & Laminate
Grind back to sound material, rebuild what has failed, then laminate void-free in measured passes.
Finish & Walkthrough
Top coat, non-skid, full cure, then we walk the finished surface with you before we call it done.
Based in Hudson, working across Florida
We cover 17 cities including Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota, Orlando, Lakeland, and Kissimmee — plus the towns around each of them.
